Last Call to Participate in the Regent Community-Wide Reading of the United States Constitution.

TODAY!!! August 28th from noon to 6:00 pm, is your last chance to participate in a Regent Community-Wide Reading of the United States Constitution.

This event will take place in the Regent Library. Just follow the balloons. This project, and the hundreds like it across the country, is Regent's way of expressing our respect for the importance of the nation’s founding charter and its relevance today.

All students, staff and faculty are welcome, and encouraged to participate. You will be asked to read a short section of the U.S. Constitution after supplying your name and school or department.

Each contribution will be combined to make a complete reading of the U.S. Constitution to be aired on on campus on September 17, 2012 to commemorate the the last date that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the final time to sign the U.S. Constitution on September 17th, 1787.

Even if you are not on campus, you can still participate! You can do so by submitting a video of you reading one of the Amendments numbered 17-27. Please state “Amendment #” before you begin reading. Submit your video clip to Mark Zillges at markzil@regent.edu. Please contact Mark if you have any questions about video submissions.
