"Law School" by Raymond A. Foss

Over they past few weeks I've been asked about what to expect when coming to law school. Raymond A. Foss simply, but accurately depicts the cycle of life while in law school in his poem entitled "Law School." This poem was found here at www.famouspoetsandpoems.com.

Law School
by Raymond A. Foss
Discipline
Time management
Confidence -
Shutting out doubt
Focus, for once focus
Eyes on the prize

New world,
New place, new words
Student again
Possibilities and risk
Getting my feet under me
Seeing the format before me
Taking time to absorb

Organization,
Schedule
Reading, notes
Preparing,
Studying,
Writing
Debate
Competition

Discussing but working alone,
After years of teamwork
Keeping my voice,
Correct paradigm,
Clear authority
Precise citations
And rewriting
